Susan has been watching the Blackcurrants turn black over the last week or so. Picking a time to harvest them is a balance between waiting for them to become ripe and harvesting them before the birds do.
Today was the day. Harvest – Wash – Top and Tail – Freeze.
Oh and of course, count!
There were 300 in the first box apparently. Quite a total then.
We look forward to them accompanying ice cream for dessert.
