Derwent Valley Heritage Way

DVHW – Section 1

The first section begins at Ladybower Reservoir crosses the dam before following a dismantled railway that was used in the dam’s construction.

Ladybower Dam was the last of three dams built in the Upper Derwent Valley. This first section passes between Bamford Edge and Win Hill. It starts along the dismantled railway that was originally used in the construction of the dam.

It then follows along the river bank where stepping stones can be seen. There are views of Millstone Edge towards the end of this section.
