It’s strange what you find to write about nowadays – he’s a couple of COVID related comments of the last few days.
A letter from the NHS – what could that be? It turned out to be a COVID testing kit. We’d never been part of a national survey before and often wondered how people were chosen to be in it. Well, Susan was in this one – contributing to the knowledge of the spread of COVID. It meant pricking the finger with tool and squeezing some blood into a test kit. A negative result was returned to the NHS web site.
The next day Susan received a text from the Doctor’s Surgery with a link to book an appointment for a vaccination against COVID. She did that and received an appointment for a week’s time at the local health centre. We thought that was good service.
The next day two NHS letters arrived – one each. They invited us to book for the vaccination as part of the National rollout. So, Susan had already booked with the doctor so I booked and obtained an appointment the next day at the Derby Arena. The NHS letters said that they are doing it in parallel to the Doctor’s rollout and you could choose either. The National rollout allowed you to book the second dose too. It seems that the vaccination rollout is sorted and we’re now part of it.
