The Derwent Valley Heritage Way runs from the Derwent Dams to the river mouth. Fifty five miles divided into ten sections.

The River Derwent rises on Bleaklow and Howden Moors and from there flows 60 miles before merging with the river Trent south-east of Derby.
The walk itself starts near to the Ladybower Reservoir and follows the outlet which continues as the River Derwent.
It flows through the Peak District National Park and the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site – lots to see along the way.
