This was our first “Open Gardens” outing and it was coupled with the village Daffodil Festival.
The village had gone all-out to plant daffodils around the verges and in gardens, etc. There were specialist daffodils and plants to buy.
There was a great selection of locally baked cakes to accompany the morning coffee stop and several stalls for lunch too.
A very welcome, relaxing day wandering around the village and gardens. We had a special half-hour sitting listening to a Ukulele Band playing hits of the 60’s. For those old enough to remember, songs like ‘Hotel California’, ‘Urban Spaceman’ and ‘Dedicated Follower of Fashion’.
