King Arthur watch out!

On a recent visit to Crich Tramway Museum we came across Excalibur stuck in the stone – a challenge.

Ready
Steady
Go!

Not to be outdone by Ancient Mythology, Susan wrests the sword from the stone to challenge Arthur for the crown! Well done.

There’s a few more pictures below from our outing at the Crich Tramway Museum but before that here’s a couple of questions for you.

Underneath the front/back of the trams near to the ground are some substantial horizontal tray-like attachments. What are they for?

At the tram driver’s foot are two pedals. We watched and heard the tram driver ring it’s gong with the left-hand one. What’s the right-hand one for?
