The Christmas Illuminations have been switched on in Long Eaton – without the usual ceremony but they’re here all the same.
We’ve had lots of lovely times at the lights switch-on. We’ve been lucky to be able to take our grandchildren, Charlie and Ruby, from when they were very young.
There were always plenty of charity stalls to browse and select the best cakes, rides to enjoy and the Silver Prize Band to listen to.
Later Santa would arrive and the lights would be switched on.
